Lux Salon Event at Saks
Raleigh, NC. November 5, 2011 A big Thank You to Lux Salon here in Raleigh who for the 2nd year hosted on November 5th: Take a Walk on the Luxurious Side: A Fashion/Runway Show with the proceeds going directly to M:TA. If you know Lux Salon then I don't have to tell you how warm and wonderful it is in there and ALL of the stylists and owners have become dear friends of mine and friends of M:TA. Private Evening at Saks Fifth Avenue

ZTA UNC-Chapel Hill 4th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon
Chapel Hill, NC. October 31, 2010 This Halloween, the Theta Tau Chapter of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority at UNC-Chapel Hill hosted their 4th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon and invited Debbie Horwitz to be the featured speaker. Dr. Lisa Carey, Medical Director of the Breast Cancer Center at UNC Hospitals was the opening speaker. Debbie has been involved in ZTA's Breast Cancer Awareness events in the past and was so excited to continue being a part of this effort that is so vital in getting young women to learn more about the processes of diagnosis, surgery, and the support systems that are available for those dealing with breast cancer and breast reconstruction. First Health Moore Regional Hospital Speaking Engagement
Pinehurst, NC. October 21, 2010 Debbie was the featured speaker for the Journey toward Hope: A Story of Empowerment, Survivorship, and Life After Breast Cancer event held at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, North Carolina. This event was sponsored by the First Health Moore Regional Hospital Auxiliary group as part of their efforts to raise breast cancer awareness during the dedicated month of October. The Auxiliary distributed M:TA booklets to breast cancer patients at First Health Moore Regional last spring. The event was free of charge and each attendee received a Myself: Together Again Booklet courtesy of the First Health Auxiliary. Click below to view the slideshow!

New Mexico State University - Tough Enough To Wear Pink
Las Cruces, New Mexico. October 2010 During the first week of October, Project Founder Debbie Horwitz, spoke to a very supportive crowd at New Mexico State University's Tough Enough To Wear Pink event. Tough Enough To Wear Pink is a volunteer group dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness, supporting early intervention measures, and raising funds for cancer research. After the event, Debbie met with Tough Enough To Wear Pink committee members, NMSU staff involved in the medical community, and other volunteers for breast cancer awareness.
