Debbie Horwitz spoke again at Duke Hospital, in Durham, NC, as the opening speaker for Jenny Allen's performance of I Got Sick Then I Got Better. Allen's performance is a one-act comedy that chronicles her trials and tribulations after falling down the medical rabbit whole. Like many women who are abruptly diagnosed with breast cancer, Jenny Allen struggled with diagnosis, treatment, and numerous surgeries. She saw fit to channel her fear and frustrations through comedy and artistic expression. Debbie was thrilled to be a part of this fun and exciting event.
